KUALA LUMPUR: Officers from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) have just raided the office of the National Feedlot Corporation (NFC) at Jalan Solaris, Mont Kiara, here.

The six enforcement officers are from Putrajaya MACC.

Issues on the controversial NFC cropped up following the Auditor-General's Report 2010 in October, which stated that the NFC had failed to fulfil the target of its formation, while the Opposition claimed there were misappropriation in the management of its funds.

The NFC's executive chairman is Datuk Seri Dr Mohamad Salleh Ismail, whose wife is Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.

The MACC is investigating whether Shahrizat had played any part in the award of the RM250mil loan to the NFC.
